What a Wonderful World

with Durieu-Erin’s creations.

Invitation Au Voyage

The title of the new exhibition of the Artnuances Gallery, not surprisingly, is called

“What a Wonderful World”

because we are sure that many of you will not expect to see what we are about to present and above all they will not expect to enter a wonderful world, where they will be able to admire how technological evolution even in the art can lead to unexpected results.

This exhibition differs in part from the previous ones in some respects:

– this is not dedicated to a single artist, but to a couple, formed by Frederic Durieu and Nathalie Erin, who have been working in close synergy for years.

– their creativity and continuous research led them to develop these works which are the junction point between painting, digital art, and music.

– this exhibition will be in two phases, the first dedicated to Augmented Reality, while the second will be dedicated to works with a very unique composition, but we will not reveal the secret now.

What is Augmented Reality:

– is the enrichment of the perception of the surrounding context with digital data generated thanks to technologies that allow the superimposition of contents (such as texts, images, live action, or animated films) perceived as part of the real environment in which the subject finds himself.

When we saw their works for the first time, we immediately understood that they also had to be in our gallery, because they perfectly embodied our exhibition philosophy (originality, particularity, sensations) OPS!

For this exhibition, we ask visitors to download an app on their mobile phone, absolutely free (ARTIVIVE), and it can be found both on the “App Store” and “Google Play”, with it you can fully enjoy the particularity of every single work in this exhibition, but also of those present in the section dedicated to them

Look also at our blog, there is an interesting video!

In the exhibition, there are only 10 works, while in the section dedicated to them, you will find many more and those with the symbol of Artvive are in Augmented Reality.

A good view!

Frederic and Nathalie

Frédéric Durieu and Nathalie Erin are a couple of artists living in the Cévennes. They developed a unique and original technique for creating works. In addition, most of their paintings come to life with augmented reality.

To do this, simply download the free Artivive app on your phone.

The work of Frédéric Durieu and Nathalie Erin amazes those who discover it and delights those who know it, both for the diversity, and the originality but above all for their unique and singular technique as well as for their poetry.

Each painting tells a story or deals with a topic that is close to their hearts: Nature, Femininity, Humanity, humor… Each painting has a reason to be and to exist. Each hides different levels of vision, from near to far, within, of hidden treasures, of personal interpretations.

Recently, they have used augmented reality to help us discover their works in a different way. An avant-garde vision!

Their works also come in the form of installations, giant frescoes, or sets for live performances.

Frédéric Durieu, a polytechnic and artist, born in Belgium (Brussels) has been using algorithmic poetry to create works of art for almost 30 years. A pioneer in this field, he has exhibited his works in important museums such as the Center Pompidou and the Palais de Tokyo. He has also produced interactive works for Nike, and IBM, and creates sets for the Opera, just to name a few. One of his latest works has just been installed at the Futuroscope in Poitiers.

Nathalie Erin, artist, musician, and singer, born in Martinique (Fort-de-France) has a great sensitivity for the world around her. You discovered and learned digital art from Frédéric Durieu. Today they form a real couple and create their works with 4 hands.

We wish you a pleasant visit!
