Yellow Submarine. The release of the single as an anticipation of the album marked an epochal turning point for the recording and commercial market, as until that moment the only practice followed was to release the album first and then, subsequently, a series of EPs (extended play), that is a single with four tracks. For the first time the single was used instead with only two songs as a promotional launch of the album.
