Girl on a bicycle in 1941. Work belonging to the series “Important Women of the twentieth century”. The evolution of the world, albeit very slowly, has progressively led women to be able to do what men had been doing for some time, albeit amid great initial criticism. In this painting, we see a woman riding a bicycle, which is absolutely normal in our day, but before the Second World War was seen as showing her legs and wanting to resemble men as if the bicycle influenced human psychology. Fortunately, the problems fell away very quickly.
