Compared to the n. 8, another artwork of the same artist, we could suddenly notice a different shape.
The canvas is 120 x 130 cm. The central circle, holding the sunburst seeds, is smaller. It is restless, through the sequence of shadows and chiaroscuro effects. The corolla the corolla takes up more space, even if the field remains an abstract one. Here, petals, in a “deafening” white compared with the ochre base, look as light flames towards the outside. Even if the centralized shape of the circle is still it is given up prevailing, here a concept of verticality is introduced too, given by the shape of the canvas and by the direction of the shadows over the central part of the corolla.
