Sunflower No. 15 is an artwork by Yury Pervushin.
Sunflowers life. A wide canvas sized more “square” (130 x 110). We are in the last phase of sunflowers life. The light strokes are always very strong, but the ruler of the colours is the brown now, with shorter petals of the corolla, more narrow and “sharper” around the large central masses. The sunflowers are four now, of different dimensions. Even the background is less settled and distempering into more and more whitening nuances. The result is one the of a great harmony of shapes and colour shades. Apparently the work could seem characterized by a veil of melancholy (the sunflowers are at the end of their vital cycle), but the ultimate image is the one of a great poetry and beauty.
