A restless sea. It is a large canvas (130 x 180), in which the blue colour, used in all its nuances, is the real “leading actor”. The quite particular fascination of this work is given by a very various and personal means of reading: a restless sea? A bluish gypsum reef? A sky blending with the sea, but with a golden cloud or a tear of light, giving a bigger metaphysical strength to the whole? The aspect is the one of a composition of liquid surfaces, of materials, exhalations and surprising colours of an exploding geyser.
The adjective “reale” is in Italian: is it possible that the wish was to “play” with the double meaning of “reale” that, in the Italian language, can mean both “real” and “royal”? Anyway the works “Reale Fiction” by Johann Nußächer are characterized by a tridimensional appearance (the surface is always flat) that plays in a remarkable way with the typical aspects of natural materials, as gypsum surfaces, dug, cut, pierced, submitted to different colour gradations. It is this relationship between fiction and reality to create the mysterious and polyvalent fascination of these works, that can be read in very different ways too (macro-photography effects) and involve with their abstract beauty, communicating directly with the field of fantasy and fantastic.
