Old Blues. Keepers. It’s a painting belonging to the series “Jazz and Blues” by Roman Nogin.

The blues and its characteristic characters. The roots of the blues are to be found among the songs of the African American slave communities in the plantations of the southern states of the United States of America (the so-called Cotton Belt). Starting from these humble origins, the blues grew to become the most recorded form of popular music in the world, ending up strongly influencing, or even giving birth to, many of the styles of modern popular music and becoming, starting from the 1960s, one of the dominant influencing factors in pop music. Roman has been able to transfer these essences to his work, where the colors blend with the various subjects. There is great elegance in the composition and it is possible to notice the existence of two parts, one with warm colors on the left, where the public and the venue are confused, and the duck underlined by slightly colder colors, where the artists emerge with their faces, their expressions.
