Notturno. The last flashes of light, before darkness takes over, perhaps on a spring or summer evening; it is certain that this glimpse offers a moment of calm serenity. The sometimes flickering stroke of the brush lets you glimpse how the artist is extremely involved in this scenography. The white facade of the church is paired with the dome that dominates it, the only elements that emerge in a panorama where the forms remain indefinite and impalpable. Above, a light cloud, still tinted by the rays of the sun that is disappearing, acts as a hat to the city and interrupts the light that is fleeing.
