Let It Be, is a work from Marie Reine Levrat Ascolese’s collection.

Let it be. The original inspiration dates back to the single Hey Jude / Revolution and the related promotional video clip shot on 4 September 1968 under the direction of Michael Lindsay-Hogg in the Twickenham studio; in that circumstance, the group should have played in front of a limited number of selected guests, but word of mouth brought together a much larger audience than expected who gathered almost in contact with the musicians as they were filmed during the rehearsal performances of Hey Jude. This situation awakened in the group the enthusiasm for live performances and the desire to perform again in a concert.
The basic idea was that – like the first album, Please Please Me, recorded in a single twelve-hour session in 1962 – the Beatles should abandon electronic equipment and overdubs in favor of live recordings.
