Helen, is a work of Safir-Rifas’s collection.

Helen. The “Anima” series often finds inspiration in the paintings of Gustav Klimt In this painting there is depicted a young woman, Helen of Troy, wrapped in a luxurious fashionable dress, lying between silk sheets and blankets. She wears a golden silk crown, a symbol of her royal blood and her divine nature. The position of her lying down in a state of serenity suggests the dreamlike atmosphere of an erotic boudoir. In Greek mythology, Helen of Troy, also known as the beautiful Helen, Helen of Argos or Helen of Sparta, was said to be the most beautiful woman in the world. It was believed that she was the daughter of Zeus and Leda. She was married to King Menelaus of Sparta, but the goddess Aphrodite promised her to Prince Paris of Troy, by whom she was seduced and taken to Troy. When the Greeks discovered the kidnapping, they unleashed the famous war from which Homer’s Odyssey took inspiration.
