Francoise Sagan, is a work from Marie Reine Levrat Ascolese’s collection.

Francoise Sagan. Work belonging to the series “Important Women of the twentieth century”. Reproduces the portrait of a great French writer. A prolific author (about fifty works published, including novels, short stories, screenplays, and theatrical dramas), the writer – despite the success and consideration achieved over a forty-year career (which began in 1954 with Bonjour tristesse, until the publication of Musiche scene, in 1996) and the acquaintance and friendship with important characters (Mitterrand) – he spent the last period of his life in solitude and poverty, having had to sell his property and jewels, until his death in a clinic of the lower Normandy due to a pulmonary embolism.
