In this picture we can find a reference to the works of Peynet. The two lovers embraced under the umbrella look at the view after the storm. In the background a corner of the sea, with threatening clouds, which are moving away leaving the dominion of the scene to the sun. In this work too, the artist places the characters in front of immense buildings, the city is seen as a giant, I would dare to say, a good giant, because the brightness and the architecture, despite the grandeur of the forms, are not oppressive. There is however a basic serenity, in the complexity of the image, no drama, indeed there is the joy of experiencing this particular moment as a couple.
