Annunciazione is a work from Claudia Ciotti’s collection.

Annunciation. In this work, the inspiration comes from a famous painting by Beato Angelico (1395-1455), a great master present in the most important museum collections in the world. In particular, this Annunciation is kept in the Madrid Museum. Claudia Ciotti wants to pay homage to this great master of the past, re-proposing his work and making it even more demanding in its execution. The use of ceramic glazes, unlike the panel colors used in the Fra Angelico painting, offers no second thoughts or the possibility of correction once fired in the kiln. Each brushstroke must be decisive and precise, the color must be adequately dosed, so that it maintains exactly the shape that the artist has decided to give. Nothing is left to chance. Knowing how to mix ceramic colors with very different chemical characteristics also indicates a great deal of experience in the difficult art of ceramic painting. It is a modern-day masterpiece following the themes of our ancestors.
